Reporting Problems in the Village

Highways Matters

For reporting general highways matters such as footpaths, blocked gullies & drains, potholes, anything to do with the highway, go to suffolk.gov.uk and select Roads and Transport – Report a Highways issue -  click on the link ‘Highways Reporting Tool’ and follow the instructions. 

This tool allows you to report a defect and monitor the status of existing reports.

Fly Tipping

For fly tipping, rubbish collection, environmental issues, go to eastsuffolk.gov.uk select Environment and select fly tipping or grass cutting etc. and collect the online fly tipping reporting tool https://www.eastsuffolk.gov.uk/waste/fly-tipping/how-to-report-fly-tipping/ or telephone 01394 383 789

Heavy Goods Vehicles 

HGVs are not allowed along Nacton Lane (between Bob Nicholls and Seven Hills roundabout) unless of course they are farm machinery accessing the fields.

If you see HGVs taking short cuts down our restricted 6ft 6" lanes, please report them here ~

It's a quick and easy online form. Just take a note of their number plate or if you have a dash cam or phone take a photo. We have had some good results and positive responses from Suffolk County Council who do follow up all reports

Neighbourly Issues

Neighbourly disputes or parking problems are not a matter for the Parish Council. For advice about neighbourly disputes contact Citizens Advice. For Suffolk Police call 01473 613500 or 101 or click on the link here. In the event of an emergency call 999.
